They were smart, funny and full of action. E poi mi sono stancata di quei filmetti horror dove muoiono tutti i compagni. I like that Ciri found someone, but th The ending almost made this slog of a read worth it, some of which is written through viewpoints of characters about whom the reader simply doesn’t care.

Go check out the the first two Witcher books. I know she is supposed to be the main character from the very beginning, ddl no problem with that, but was it necessary to kill off anyone else who had no place in her “happy” ending?

At the same time cynical and noble, Geralt has been compared to Raymond Chandler’s signature character Philip Marlowe. I really really really wanted to like this book because I thoroughly loved the rest of the books not the prequels though. Not very nice at all, though they have overlooked Ciri’s own opportunist nature and her will to survive. That act alone ruined Ciri’s character for me.

And if it’s about Geralt and Yennefer, I definitely don’t care as I never cared that much for their romance. I’m going to talk about some spoilers, so I’m going hide them. Dana Askay rated it did not like it Nov 13, What an odd way to get the characters out of the situation.
Why would you introduce new characters in book 5 who I could care less labo and have really nothing to with the main story. Overall, just not the xama that I would have hoped for.
The fantasy elements in here are pred This is the final tale in the dark fantasy series The Witcher, and all though it had a decent start the ending will, no doubt, disappoint many readers.
It all felt vague and extremely fragmented, but I suppose that’s what happens with dreams. Long scenes about war which is not so interesting.
Personally, I think it would have been fitting that someone who risked his life so many times for others died saving close friends. See 2 questions about La dama del lago…. To ask other readers questions about La dama del lagoplease sign up.

Open Preview See a Problem? The thing is I wouldn’t have minded any of that had her Mary-Sueness not manipulated the plot into something mundane, something dull and dulling and just so mundane.
I found myself grinding through the last hundred or so pag I want to preface this review by admitting that there was a gap of about six months between when I finished the last book and when I started this one.
