Fostex has always been highly regarded in the “Full /Wide range” product category. There are always a few that stand out above the others, and the FX is. In small sized rooms and as a monitor, the speaker has a very clear mid-range and an extended response. The sound they produce is incredible.

The fullrange driver used is a Fostex FX The enclosure design is from Fostex as well. I set out to find a ofstex quality driver with a reasonably flat frequency response. No crossover or notch filter is being used. For maximum performance, it is important to have good airflow from the rear of the driver into the enclosure.
In some receivers this fosrex be accomplished by setting the speakers to “small”. Glue could also be used. Notify me of new posts via email.
