One of the other annoying things of TPRS is that the books claims that half-measures will not work. The ‘acting’ by the students is reduced to following up orders by the teacher and even the input from pupils is controlled.

It was as if I was skimming the surface without getting the opportunity to fully understand the idea behind TPR S and its practical use.

I wish I would have read this book first and then taken it to the workshop to take notes in and journal during my free time. Like Througgh on Facebook. This book is not yet featured on Listopia.
Between this book and the hundreds of hours of video that teachers around the community have uploaded of themselves asking TPRS stories over the years, you can probably figure out how to do this and get satisfactory results.
In my opinion a method has to sell itself. Could someone tell me the exactly year that book is published?

I bought my copy storyteling the book storytellinh the last day of a three-day Blaine Ray workshop in Dallas with Fluenct himself running the training. A Practical Guide for Language Teachers for more great comprehensible input strategies and activities outside of story asking. This is a must read for language teachers!

As with my review on “How to Mindmap” there are two issues to be discussed: I’m, for example, not sure if choral respondence is a handy tool for giving evidence of comprehension p. I have read lots of year, ?? Pupils listen, translate paragraphs, write texts in which quantity is more important than quality I know this is a bit short-sighted, but it roughly gives the method in a nutshell.
The FAQ section is one of the more valuable parts of this book. One of the major problems I was facing was the difference in second language teaching in America and in Europe. Skilled authors like Blaine and Contee can explain the fundamentals while also giving more advanced practitioners what they need to take their teaching to the next level in the same book.
