Instead he lets her go with the implication that he’s going to kill himself. I love seeing Claire mature more and more each book, and not be a I am too obsessed with this series! Maybe that’s just denial caused by my love for him, or maybe not? Caarpe makes for a pretty one dimensional character, whose motivations are not really fully explored or convincing.
