A book filled with systems on speed-reading, highly reliant upon “props” index cards, ballpoint pens, hilighters, the human finger, etc. To see what your friends thought of this book, please sign up. The second, besides being a useful reference tool, is essentially a frequency map of terms that are keywords in the book. Toward the end, the author harps a lot on the benefits of pre-viewing, skimming, and scanning. I found pacers distracting, and it was annoying that every single chapter introduced a new variant on the same concept.
Most of us have way too much to read. Of the many books that I have read on improving reading speed and comprehension, this is hand-down the best! The first tells you about the structure, content, and order of the book. If so, you must have felt utterly distraught at the very sight of it! Learn the universal principles behind every successful business, then use these ideas to make more money, get more done, and have more fun in your life and work.
